Have a Very Happy Birthday, Cheri! And, about a million more!

Alan was one of my favorite people at Highland. I got to know him playing basketball on the sophomore team. He sprouted up, perfected his shot, and was an integral part of our State Championship team our senior year. He was quiet and unassuming except when he was on the basketball court. He was tough and very confident and wanted fiercely to win. He was very friendly to me always and I just hope he lived a happy, healthy life despite passing away too soon.
Louise was a brilliant student and a very cute girl. I didn't get to know her well but she was always so nice to me. RIP

I was able to go trick-or-treating last night because I found a great costume. I went as a 25 year old bodybuilder.
I'm shocked at seeing Kathy's obituary here. I haven't seen anything in the newspaper. I don't think Kathy has posted anything about an illness on this site. Kathy and I were a couple for a while at Clayton Jr. and went to a couple of big parties together. We remained friends at Highland and I recall taking her to a school dance. She was always such a nice girl and so smart. My best regards to the family for your loss and know that I thought she was a super person.
Have a Very Happy Birthday to one of the very cutest girls in the class, and have about a million more!

Darryl and I were buds on the football team and had a lot of fun joking around with each other. My nickname for him was "Teddy Bear". He was a pretty good size lineman and always acted like the meanest player on the field with a scowl on his face with the look of determination. Off the field, he was just the nicest friendliest guy in school and wouldn't hurt a fly. He always had a quick smile in the halls of Highland which everybody enjoyed. I kept up with Darryl's life through his mother, Olive, who I worked with for many years. She was always so proud of him and couldn't wait to share any news she could with me. RIP big guy and keep smilin'!

I agree wholeheartedly with Jim when he says Dick was one of the great all-around good guys in our class. He was friendly and witty and treated people with respect. He was a great competitor in sports and I got to know him better when he was the Director of the Utah Golf Association. I was a commercial real estate appraiser and specialized in golf course appraisal. I consulted with Dick many times in that regard and he had a wealth of information he shared with me always accommodating and helpful. I send my best to his whole family especially his brother Tim who was on the track team with me as a fellow sprinter. It sounds like Dick's grandchildren will always have great stories to tell about grandpa and how he supported them all in their interests. RIP friend. Alan
